Roaming as the sun set in downtown Boston, I came across another veteran, as he recited the Ranger Creed, he told me that he failed his brothers. I said there is no way you failed them. He went on to tell me that he promised some that aren't here anymore that he would fulfil certain promises however after getting out he said he was lost which distracted him from his and their goals. I told him it's never too late. After talking about his failures, he went on to tell me that he will forever keep his prized possession close to him which was his Ranger rolled hat. He said it was my brothers who I lost in combat in 2001, 75th Ranger Battalion. I asked him what his name was, and he told me he didn't want to give his name, but he only wanted to talk about and honor his brothers who aren't here. So, as we sat, I read his sign and they read donations aren't for me they are for my brothers who I put fresh flowers on their headstones and supplies for clean up.
