Some of the most painful stories are from those with the biggest smiles. Manny sat on a makeshift pallet he made on this warm Vegas night. Manny served in the Marines and lost his right hand from a grenade in 2003 Fallujuh. He was only 18 at the time and said everyday he was scared but completed his solider task to the best of his abilities. He said after his surgeries and exiting service he moved from The Bronx NYC to Vegas and has been here since. He said everyday he enjoys meeting the news faces coming and going in Vegas. He told me he would be dead if he still lived in NYC. Manny said the winters here on the streets are nothing compared to nyc.
